Description
This is more directed at my FF.Net readers, than it is to here because I hardly ever put A/N's here, but the point remains-- If I do write them, that usually means I want you to read them.
A perfect example:
Over on FF.Net I have stated several times in several A/N's in Theory that if I don't update when I said I was going to update that that means that something has come up and I would write a Journal over here on dA stating what was going on. I even gave the direct link each time.
Well, today I got a nice little review:
not to sound condescending, but if you say you will update by new years, it would be nice if you did.
Now, obviously I was very upset (I mean, I really cried), but alas this person did not leave a signed in review nor an email address to which I could contact her with.
But this just makes me very upset. I would not bother to write all of those A/N's if I did not want you to read them.
I mean, it would avoid pointless questions and misunderstandings if the A/N's were read.
Another example:
In Love I stated three or four times before beginning the story and after the end of it that it was a ONESHOT COMPANION PIECE TO THEORY. Just like that, too; in capital letters. And yet, several people still asked me to "continue the story because I want to know if Bella gets pregnant!"
Read the A/N's people. Please.

I agree with your concept completely - but really, you CRIED? If you want to write, you have to learn to take criticism in your stride. I know it hurts when someone leaves a rude comment, but you can't let it get you down.
